PEUT GUARD ARTS

 

The Peut Guard was created by Eugene Macki to offer opportunities for visual artists who live in the UK. There are three parts that make up the program. The artist award is exclusively for BAME artists, but the group research retreat, curatorial, and exhibition are open to all.           One-week residency. The awards will be hosted by The Grange Projects for the second time in 2024.

THE PEUT GUARD ARTIST AWARD

The award provides either a one-week residency or a grant for artists who identify as Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (non-white). The residency has no prescribed outcomes, and the only requirement is for the selected artist to focus on their practice.

THE GRANGE PROJECTS

Hosts artist led integrated creative activity at The Grange in Norfolk. The Grange is currently home to graphic novelist Dr Nicola Streeten and artist John Plowman who jointly lead The Grange Projects, with help and advice from their artist daughter Sally Plowman. This wonderful Georgian house is set in 10 acres of tranquil gardens and grounds. It is a beautiful and magical place offering simple, comfortable accommodation and work/studio space.​
